8/17/19 Green Horn Mountains – Camping & Hunting

California D8 Hunting trip and camping. If looking for a more budget friendly, quiet, and open spot this would be ideal. By experience this would be a great spot for rifle season. Lots of open trails, trout fishing, and if willing to hike, places for deer.

At this time frame I went bow hunting, I did spot a 3 x 3 deer off a road that ends, however it was at least 200 yards out, heard me, and spooked. Maybe next time.

Directions:

From CA-60 W

Take to CA-71 N

Take on CA-57 N

Take I-210W

Continue on CA-134 W

Take I-5 N

Take CA-99N

Exit on Airport Dr

Take Granite Rd to CA-155 E

Take CA-155 E

Look for Campground to the left in about 11.3 miles
